Results....

One year ago this month I started on my get fit journey.  I don't think I would have made it this far without finding the Baby Bootcamp at my local mall.

I have lost 35lbs since I started bootcamp.  Even with having a set back with my foot surgery in July, I have been able to maintain my loss.

I have lost 10 inches off my waist.
7 inches off my hips.
5 inches off my thighs.

I never thought I would make it this far.  And now that my foot is feeling better.  I am hoping to see more results!!!

Good finds!

We ventured to Garden Ridge today.  We haven't been in a really long time, but I'm really glad we went!  They had all of the kids decor 50% off!  I am slowly working on Audrey's future room.  I want to do it in purple and eventually refinish my dresser in black for her.  I found these pictures and I absolutely love them!  Perfect for a little princesses room! (you can't really tell in these pics but all 3 pictures have little rhinestones on them too!)

And we found this mirror flower for only $7!!
Here is the little princess sitting up all by herself today!!

I did it!

I hit my goal weight today!  Yes I admit a couple of illnesses did play a little part ;)
The week before Audrey was born I weighed in at.........ughhhhh 198.
I was 171 when I got pregnant with her.
Back in October after I delivered I set my first major goal at 155.  I started baby bootcamp when Audrey was 5 weeks old.  And am still going!  I still don't think I can fit into some of my clothes that I wore at this weight pre-babies, but I'm getting there!
Next goal 148.

March update!

Just a quick update!
We are all finally recovered from the nice little flu bug that Zoey brought us.  Not sure where she got it, but she started it!  Ha!  All 4 of us were pretty sick and I think I got strep again along with the bug.

Audrey is going into week 5 with her helmet.  Looks like she may be in it for maybe 4 more weeks or less.  If she hits a big growth spurt it will speed up her treatment!  Faster she grows, faster her head molds into the right direction.  We are going to a Physical Therapist Evaluation on the 26th to help her neck muscle.  I just want to make sure if we can do more to help her that we do it.  She will most likely be in treatment for the muscle until she's 18 months maybe.  She is also rolling like a mad woman.  Next task, sitting up and she gets to start rice cereal in a couple of weeks.

Zoey is talking up a storm now, well in her own way!  Just one word here and there.  But she repeats everything!  Her newest word this week "flowers".  She says please and thank you pretty well.  Can't believe she will be 2 in 3 weeks!  We will be celebrating with an Elmo themed party!  Hoping to start potty training shortly after her bday!  Wish me luck!
Easter is just around the corner and we are going to be getting some company!  First Matt & Staci and their kids are visiting for a couple of days.  Then my sister and niece will be here the weekend after Z's birthday!  Can't wait!  Anyone else wanna come!
Wish I could come home this summer to Ohio, but I can't really travel alone with both girls as easy as I could with just one.  Unless someone wants to come get us!

Well that is all for now!  Hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patty's Day!!!

Sister Love

Sister Love

So yesterday Audrey wore her new socks that were black and I noticed that they made her sweaty feet completely full of fuzz.  Well since Zoey likes to pull off her lil sister's socks, she noticed the fuzz too.  She took off running to her room.  Came back with a handful of diaper wipes and proceeded to wipe off her sister's feet!  How sweet!

Update on Audrey :)

A couple of weeks ago we took Audrey to her first consultation at Cranial Technologies.  We were told by our Pedi that Audrey has slight Torticollis (Torticollis is caused by the shortening of muscles in the neck, particularly the Sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscle. This can occur from placement in utero, the birth process or being constantly in the same position in car seats, swings, etc. and not having the opportunity to turn their neck to both sides.)
Audrey's muscle is tight on her left side causing her to always turn to the right.  This has caused her to have Brachycelphaly and Plagiocephaly.  Meaning the back of her head is a little bit flat and the right side that she lays on.  The good thing is we are doing something about it early on.  It can all be fixed and corrected.  We are doing stretches with her 5 times a day.  We are not supposed to put her in her swing, bouncer, carrier for a long period of time.  She has been sleeping in her swing, but......since Zoey is now in her big girl bed.....Audrey got her crib!
On the 2nd night she slept all night in her crib!

The next step is a re-evaluation on Feb 3rd and on that day she will get measured for her DOC band.  (which looks like the little helmets you see babies wearing).  She will get her band on the 10th.  She will wear it for a minimun of 5 weeks getting checked every week.  This will "mold" her head back into its correct shape.  We will continue therapies to get her muscle to loosen up.

I will update more after her 4 month appt on the 2nd!
