34 Week Update :)

Here we are at 34 weeks and 2 days! Last Friday's ultrasound showed baby girl measuring in at 4lbs 11oz. We will have another growth ultrasound next friday the 26th. Things are going well otherwise. She is kicking me like crazy, in fact it hurts sometimes! I think she will be a long skinny one! Hard to believe in less than 6 weeks she will be in my arms!

My Bday is this Sunday! We are going to go for pancakes at the Pancake House since Im not really supposed to have them cuz of the gestational diabetes. So I get to splurge! And hopefully we will go buy some flowers for me to plant around our front tree. Our grass is slowly starting to turn green again! Here are some pics of me from today! Enjoy!

Found our Pediatrician today!

Her name is Dr. Carla Cole and I really like her! My Obgyn referred me to her. She is located right across the street from the hospital and is open 7 days a week and until 10pm at night!!! It seems so close now, yet still 7 weeks away. We toured the hospital last Saturday, and its actually really nice. (Baylor Garland) The Women's Center is separate from the main hospital and is all on the main floor. The delivery room is really big, with our own private bathroom and a pull out love seat for the hubby to rest on if labor drags on :) The postpardom rooms are smaller, but still nice and private. The hospital also has Wireless Interent, so we will be taking my computer to hopefully upload pics while we are there and give something for Craig to do! (Not play Everquest!) Well I am having a growth ultrasound this Friday to see how big Zoey/Sarah is, so I will update again after that appointment!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary!!!
This picture was taken right before we went out to dinner, plus with my new haircut. Got 1 1/2 inches trimmed off. We will try our wedding cake topper later today! Lets hope it tastes as yummy as it did last year!

Week 31

Here we are at Week 31. 9 more to go! Let's see this week we have our first birthing class on Saturday and our first wedding anniversary on Sunday! Can't believe its been a year, and one crazy year it has been! I wanted to post some of the snowy pics we took when we had our record snowfall in the beginning of February. We may never see another snowy day like this ever in Dallas. It is the most snow they have seen since 1978.
Things are going pretty well with the pregnancy. Started going to the Drs every 2 weeks now. And also since being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, every other visit either comes with an ultrasound or a NST. Which is a non stress test...basically just hooking me up to monitors to check her activity. And boy is she moving, and its starting to get uncomfortable!


Here is my 31 week picture....still doing well! Only gained 11.5 lbs so far. And I'm sure there will be more as she puts on the weight now! She is expected to hit 3lbs this week!

Baby Shower & GD Update

I'm a little behind, but better late than never! The shower went great! I am so glad that the weather held out for me that weekend and was not an issue! I was also diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes last week after failing both the 1 hour and the 3 hour glucose tests. By the way, I only failed by like 5 points on 2 of the blood draws, so this sucks! I now have to count carbs and check my blood sugar 4 times a day! It is more than a pain than anything and so far my numbers have been great. So we'll see what the dr says this friday. Oh yeah and this is my last monthly appt friday! Now I will go every 2 weeks. I will be 29 weeks on Wed.

Little one is moving like crazy! She mostly moves between 6-8am or 9-11pm. And she usually gets the hiccups at least 2 times a day now. So far our name choices are still Sarah Evelyn and we recently added Zoey Elizabeth. I don't think a final decision will be made until we see our little girl's face! Only 11 more weeks to go!!!!

V-Day Week!!!!

Happy New Year to all!!! This week we hit the 24 week mark which means V-Day! To those who don't know what this means: Viability Day-meaning that if born your baby has a great chance of surviving outside the womb. Next Friday is my 1 Hour Glucose test to check for Gestational Diabetes and also an ultrasound. The week after that is the shower at my mom's, hopefully the snow cooperates! Sometime soon I will post pics of baby's room...that is next on my list! Hope everyone is well!
