Case of the sickies...

Poor baby girl is sick again! She came down with a cold Tuesday evening....and by Thursday she woke up with a nasty cough. So off to the Dr's we went! She ending up having a double ear infection and is now on antibiotics. She sounds like a little froggy today too! But she still is practicing her standing! She tries to pull up on everything now! Makes me wish we had a not so enormously tall ottoman. So the couch and entertainment stand will have to do!

Hopefully we will get better fast! Only 15 days till Christmas! I still have shopping to do, cards to send and in 10 days we leave for Ohio!

Dear Santa....

So because I am bored, I decided to write my own Christmas wish list! Why not, right? A girl can dream can't she??? #1 on my list would be this new, cool Spotbot pet carpet cleaner!!! You just sit it there and it does its job for you! Would be nice to clean up after all of the hairball presents Marcus leaves!

#2 would have to be my P-Touch label maker! I feel the need to label things in my house! Then I would know what exactly is in the container before digging through it!


#3 would be this nice little Sewing Machine. And its only $79.99 at Target! Not bad. It would be nice to have one to fix things around the house that fall apart or rip. Or even make curtains shorter or pillow cases smaller! (Note to self: If I lived closer to my mom, I would just use hers! But that's probably not going to happen)

I did get the best Christmas gift ever from my Dear Husband!!! It arrives on Tuesday! My KING size bed I have been asking for!!!! Yay! And I got bedding for it really cheap from JCP!

The holidays are coming too fast!

So we are back from our trip to Ohio and a few things have happened since then! Zoey has cut all 4 of her top teeth! Plus she just turned 7 months on the 11th! She is growing so fast! We also are getting over our first cold which we caught from Mommy, who caught it from Grandpa. And now we gave it to Daddy! It was quite a rough week with the cold and the teeth coming in all at once! We only liked to sleep on Mommy that week and couldn't suck our binky since our noisy was stuffy.

So anywho, Thanksgiving is coming up so fast! We are hosting our first this year! My parent's are coming and Craig's friend Gary's family is also joining us. And if anyone else wants to join in, the more the merrier!

I bought some new Christmas icicle lights to hang on my house! I love decorating for Xmas! Hopefully they will look fabulous and I'll take a pic for all to see! Right after Thanksgiving we have Xmas pics for Zoey, then we get to visit Santa at the mall! Then before you know it, it will be time to go to Ohio again!

So Zoey will be crawling before we know it! She gets on her hands and knees and trys really hard! Soon she will be into everything! About time to start baby proofing the house!

So next Monday October 25th Baby Girl Becker will be here! Yes my niece does not have a name yet! Zoey and I fly into Ohio on Tuesday! Time to dig out the warm fall clothes! It better not snow when we are there!!! We can't wait to see everyone!

Trying to get used to the heat again....is it fall yet?

I have to say our trip to Ohio was fabulous! We had the best weather ever! It was beautiful outside and we got to see all of our friends and family! We haven't been home in the summer in quite awhile and it really made us miss living there. Then we thought about the snow....lol! Zoey got to meet her Grandpa Evans, her cousin Logan, Great Grandma, and her future husband Cohen! (pictured above!) We had a great get together with friends on Friday night which we need to do more often! And overall Zoey slept great and did super good on the plane ride.

We got back home Wednesday night....after a 2 hour delay. And the following morning, Miss Zoey woke up with a tooth!!! We have decided we are going to try her first round with rice cereal next weekend.

Well this Wednesday we are off to O-H-I-O! I can't wait to take little Z home to see everyone! Although I admit I am already stressing about the trip!

We went and had Zoey's 4 month pictures taken last Thursday at Portrait Innovations. And I hate to brag but she did great and they look beautiful! I am so proud of my little tinkerbell! I will try to get them dispersed to all of our family and friends when we go home! And yes to our close families in Houston...they will be in the mail shortly!

And If I am not on here till after we return from our trip! I want to wish my Husband a very Happy 32nd Birthday!!! (August 14th)...oh yeah and a Pre-Congrats to my cousin Nicole and her soon to be Husband who is getting married on the 14th!

We've reached a milestone today!

Zoey hates tummy time, absolutely hates it! So I thought I would give it a try today as I do everyday and today she lifted herself up with her arms for the first time ever!!! And I caught it on camera! Happy Friday Everyone!

She's getting so big!!!

I took Zoey to the Dr's today for her 4 month well visit. We went a week and a half early because I was concerned with the amount of formula she is eating and wanted to ask about cereal. Well Dr said to try to hold off on cereal until close to 5 months as possible. She is worried since she has red hair and fair skin, that she may be prone to developing allergies. Boo! Oh well....we shall wait then. She is allowed to have water now! So we will try that this weekend when Daddy is home. (Craig has been traveling to NYC for the past few weeks for work) Zoey is weighing in at 14lbs 15oz at 90% for weight and is 90% for height at 25 1/4 inches tall! Oh, she is starting to laugh now too!!

Less than 2 weeks and we will be on a plane to Ohio!!!! Can't wait to see everyone!

Craig's Ribs!

Craig made us these baby back ribs on the 4th of July and they were so yummy, I had to share a picture with you! He made his secret BBQ sauce and I have to say I was impressed!

So its 4th of July weekend and here we sit alone and in the rain. Thanks to tropical storm Alex that is. Kinda bummed about this weekend, since my family is having a get together on Sunday. No offense Theresa, but no one ever gets together when we are home :( And I love get togethers! (There better be a Xmas party somewhere we can go to....hint, hint) If only the plane tickets weren't crazy outrageous this weekend!

Anyways, I started repainting our master bedroom yesterday during Zoey's naps. I didnt like the way it looked and a "bump" friend of mine recommended Gobi Desert by Behr. So far I have 2 walls done and it looks great! I will post before and after pics when I am done. Someday It will look even better when we get new bedroom furniture! Please Santa bring me some....LOL!

Today Zoey got invited to her first party!!! It is for my friend Brandy's son Jack's 1st Birthday! She is so excited to go and make some friends!!!

Oh yeah, I should have bought some worms! Remember those little black things you light with a lighter and they grow like worms on the ground! (Leslie & I's favorite!) I did by some of those snap things!
